Singapore has a new Olympics gold medalist - me! I think I win the award for most patient living creature on Earth. It took me 3 bloody hours, but I did manage to t/f my SIM contacts into my new SIM card, finally. My phone's still acting kind of strange, but oh well. Can't be bothered.
Still, it was interesting to scroll down the list (since I'm already at such a monotonous and repetitive task, I figured that it'll be good to think of something philosophical behind my endeavors). I realised just how many contacts I actually have (approx. 375). The funny thing is, all of these people had played a role in my life, one way or another. Some have exerted an almost life-long influence (the record stands at 9 years and counting) in my life, others have appeared only relatively recently (think: few years/months), yet others may have only left a barely impressionable footprint, and in a select few it is strange how once-upon-a-time they were basically the people whom my life revolved round primarily, and has since disappeared without a trace. Still, they have all left some influence upon my life, one way of another. Perhaps some of them will never again cross paths with mine (and think about the numerous 'lost' contacts that never actually made it to your phone). Or maybe many years down the road, some may reappear and, who knows, might become one of my best friends under those circumstances. It's a strange world.
In any case, I do realise that my memory is failing. Behind many of the contacts' names, I actually have to put a designation to remind me who on earth so-and-so is, and why I actually 'know' so-and-so. Pathetic, isn't it? hmmm.
Whatever it is, I still hope LG would create a more user-friendly phone. And no, I still hate Nokia phones. Stop force-selling the brand to me!
